The OWC ThunderBay 8 (hereinafter referred to as "the product") is an 8-bay external hard drive enclosure that can be connected to a computer via Thunderbolt 3. It features a case made of aluminum, which excels in heat dissipation, and can accommodate up to eight 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA hard drives/SSDs. Each drive can be easily installed and replaced using the included dedicated drive trays. In a striped (RAID 0) configuration with eight SSDs, it achieves high read and write speeds exceeding 2500MB/s (*), allowing for the creation of a large-capacity and high-speed storage environment. (*) The measurement results are based on the following environment. This figure is not guaranteed in all environments. The OWC Gemini (hereinafter referred to as this product) is an external hard drive enclosure compatible with Thunderbolt 3, equipped with hardware RAID and docking station functions.
